Turbo are entrusted with boosting power to your vehicle. Turbo is actually a gas compressing unit which enhances the torque thus leading to stealth increase in the power output of the vehicle by pumping exhaust airs into the combustion cylinder. Air induction is the primary process pertaining to the functioning of the turbo’s and thus the major phenomenon that pertains to your vehicle. Oxygen is burnt in the combustion chamber of the vehicle by the turbo turbine compressors, thus tuning its performance of the air- fuel mixture to the highest order. Thus the horsepower of the engine improved leading to improved power output. Oil lines and turbo’s air filters must work properly to ensure maximum efficiency.
Ford motor company evolved in 1982 with the advent of Ford pickup trucks has raised several heights. The 444 CID power stroke engine is now replaced by the 6.0 L (365 CID) super duty engines. It uses a variable geometry corresponding to dimensions, of turbocharger and intercooler that produces 325 hp of energy at a whopping compression ratio of 18:1, & a fuel cutoff at 4200 rpm. Some models of Ford turbo were rife in grim problems of sticking exhaust gas recirculation valves under boosting the required pressures, carbon/rust deposition compromising the performances of the Ford turbo, leaking EGR coolers; torque to yield head bolts issued loads of problems, the head gasket design was flawed as well. These problems are being worked at and majorly done away with. Selective Catalytic Reduction & Diesel Particulate Filters helped to cut down on emissions, improving on recirculation.
